The family was faced with the devastating news that their son had suffered a brain aneurysm, necessitating their immediate presence in Australia for medical attention.

Corporal Sanchez took it upon herself to act as a translator and advocate for the family, navigating the complexities of medical terminology and emotional challenges. She facilitated communication with healthcare professionals, ensuring the family understood treatment protocols, medication instructions, and the son's progress during therapy sessions. Moreover, Corporal Sanchez provided essential logistical support by assisting the family with transportation to and from the hospital on a daily basis. FOR PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMNCE WHILE SERVING AS AMMUNITION TECHNICIAN, 3D LITTORAL COMBAT BATTALION, 3D MARINE LITTORAL REGIMENT DURING EXERCISE BALIKATAN 26 FROM APRIL 2, 2026, TO JUNE 27 2026. SGT KUQO, ENI DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL LOGISTICAL EXPERTISE BY PLANNING AND EXECUTING ALL CLASS V OPERATIONS ACROSS THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES. DESPITE A HIGHLY COMPRESSED SIX-DAY TIMELINE IN AUSTERE CONDITIONS, AND TRANSPORTATION SHORTFALLS, HE FLAWLESSLY DIRECTED THE SAFE TRANSPORT, DISTRIBUTION, AND ULTIMATE RETROGRADE OF OVER 10,000 POUNDS OF NET EXPLOSIVE WEIGHT VALUED AT 1.46 MILLION DOLLARS. ADDITIONALLY, SGT KUQO ENI ESTABLISHED MULTIPLE AMMUNITION HOLDING AREAS AND SYNCHRONIZED CRITICAL ORDNANCE SUPPORT FOR U.S., JAPANESE, AND VIETNAMESE FORCES WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY TRAINING COMBAT LOGISTICS REGIMENT 33 PERSONNEL ON EXPLOSIVE ACCOUNTABILITY PROCEDURES. HIS METICULOUS ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT GUARANTEED 100 PERCENT ACCOUNTABILITY OF ALL ASSETS, DIRECTLY ENABLING THE SUCCESS OF DISTRIBUTED MULTINATIONAL TRAINING EVENTS. 2336 EOD Technician

Staff Sergeant Anthony Negrete, United States Marine Corps, is strongly recommended for the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for superior performance of duty while serving as the Supply Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician, Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MAGTF-TC), Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), from 30 October 2024 to 7 May 2025.

Throughout this period, Staff Sergeant Negrete demonstrated exemplary leadership, initiative, and technical competence in preparing the EOD section for a command-wide Field Supply Maintenance Analysis Office (FSMAO) inspection. His efforts directly contributed to one of the highest-performing evaluations within Headquarters Battalion. As the Supply SNCOIC, Staff Sergeant Negrete conducted a full-scale audit and reconciliation of over 70 serialized assets spanning more than 40 Table of Authorized Materiel Control Numbers (TAMCNs), collectively valued at over $4.5 million. His oversight ensured complete accountability of all serialized explosive ordnance response equipment and resulted in EOD being recognized for its minimal findings a distinction that set his section apart amid a battalion-wide trend of significant supply and maintenance deficiencies.

In addition to his supply and accountability responsibilities, Staff Sergeant Negrete maintained full mission readiness in his capacity as an EOD Technician. He managed the section's emergency response posture, ensuring rapid deployability to real-world incidents while simultaneously meeting the rigorous administrative requirements of FSMAO preparation. He also contributed to the development and refinement of sensitive site exploitation (SSE) procedures in support of research and development efforts, balancing logistical demands with technical fieldwork. His ability to lead across multiple domains supply management, operational readiness, and technical EOD operations was a force-multiplier for the command.

Staff Sergeant Negrete's performance was particularly noteworthy given the broader organizational challenges identified in the FSMAO report, including fragmented command relationships and persistent trends of non-compliance in key commodity areas. Despite these institutional limitations, he maintained outstanding accountability standards and contributed to MAGTF-TC's ability to sustain operational capability. His section's results reflected a sharp contrast to the command's historical pattern of material weaknesses and highlighted the impact of engaged, solutions-oriented leadership.

His attention to detail, mission-first mindset, and steadfast professionalism reflect the highest standards of the Marine Corps. Staff Sergeant Negrete's superior performance directly enhanced the credibility and operational integrity of MAGTF-TC's EOD section, and his efforts significantly contributed to the successful completion of a high-visibility inspection with command-wide implications.
