As Departmental EOSS Coordinator, implemented and updated 56 EOSS stations, resulting in zero discrepancies and an EOSS program grade of Effective during all engineering inspections.
Demonstrating a tireless work ethic, he validated EOSS (Engineering Operational Sequencing System) for Pump Room spaces correcting over 100 valve labels and serializing over 150 SCBAs (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) which was a key factor in Crew 105 passing final contract trials and INSURV.
As the EOSS Coordinator during the ship's DSRA, he traced out and verified 27 systems and identified over 100 discrepancies with EOSS which he corrected and submitted feedback reports for, facilitating the safe operation of the engineering plant after the major overhaul.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS DEPARTMENTAL EOSS COORDINATOR ABOARD XXXXXXXX FROM XXXXXXXX TO XXXXXXXX. DURING THIS PERIOD, HE MANAGED 23 PERSONNEL IN THE UPKEEP OF ALL MAIN AND AUXILLIARY SPACE DAMAGE CONTROL (DC) EQUIPMENT AND ALL PORTABLE DC EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE THE ENGINEERING SPACES, SUPPORTING SAFE TO OPERATE FOR AN OVERALL GRADE OF 95 PERCENT. IN ADDITION, HE IMPLEMENTED AND UPDATED 56 EOSS STATIONS, RESULTING IN ZERO DISCREPANCIES AND AN EOSS PROGRAM GRADE OF EFFECTIVE DURING ALL ENGINEERING INSPECTIONS. FURTHER, HE OVERSAW EMERGENT DEPOT LEVEL REPAIRS TO AFT STEERING SECONDARY DRAINAGE, NUMBER 3 MVHC STATION, NUMBER 3 FIRE PUMP, NUMBER 1 AND 2 AFFF STATIONS, AND THE REPLACEMENT OF ZONE 1 CMWD POWERTROL VALVE. PETTY OFFICER DITTO'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM AND SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
