IN ADDITION, SERGEANT ATKINS' DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL PROFICIENCY, OBTAINING WELL ABOVE AVERAGE SCORES FOR THE TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS OVERALL FOR THE BATTALION. SERGEANT ATKINS' RECEIVED DRILL INSTRUCTOR OF THE QUARTER FOR 3RD RECRUIT TRAINING BATTALION AND ASCENDED TO SENIOR DRILL INSTRUCTOR. SERGEANT ATKINS' INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
