SNM was the sole technician responsible for $298k of cost savings in the 4QTR FY2025, resulting in being nominated for the Fourth Quarter Fiscal Year 2025 CNO Gold Disk Award and receiving a Letter of Commendation from Vice Admiral Skillman, the deputy chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) for Integration of Capabilities and Resources (N8). SNM was a key contributor to avoiding significant sustainment costs and improving operational availability of critical systems thus ensuring 1st Maint BN 1st MLG could support vital commitments.




For heroic achievement while serving as Ground Based Operational Surveillance System (GBOSS) Operator, Task Force Southwest, in connection with combat operations against enemy forces in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan, from January 2018 to December 2018. During this period, Lance Corporal Beechler demonstrated extraordinary valor and technical proficiency while providing persistent surveillance in a high-threat environment. On multiple occasions, while his observation post was under direct insurgent indirect fire, he steadfastly remained at his station to provide critical early warning and target acquisition. His calm and precise reporting under fire enabled the successful execution of multiple kinetic strikes and ensured the safety of patrolling friendly forces. By his unyielding courage, aggressive fighting spirit, and unwavering devotion to duty in the face of personal danger, Lance Corporal Beechler reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.







PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS GROUND ELECTRONICS TELECOMMUNICATIONS MAINTAINER, 2D BATTALION, 7TH MARINES, FROM 18 APRIL 2018 TO 10 JANUARY 2022. CORPORAL BELL WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE EXECUTION OF FOUR FIELD SUPPLY MAINTENANCE ANALYSIS OFFICE AND TWO LOGISTICS READINESS EVALUATION INSPECTIONS, LEADING TO SCORES OF OVER NINETY PERCENT. EXCELLING AT BILLETS BOTH IN AND OUT OF HIS PRIMARY MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY DURING THE COURSE OF FOUR DIFFERENT ACCOUNT TURNOVERS, CORPORAL BELL CONDUCTED OVER 1,000 OPERATIONS CHECKS, OPENED 510 SERVICE REQUESTS, AND SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED 427 PARTS REQUISITIONS, TOTALING 56 MILLION DOLLARS AND REQUIRING 254 HOURS OF LABOR. CORPORAL BELL'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

Despite working under extreme pressure and navigating constant operational distractions, his steadfast concentration and meticulous attention to detail ensured zero defects and accelerated production timelines. His exceptional leadership and technical competence directly enhanced command readiness and served as an inspiration to his peers. By his unswerving determination, wise judgment, and dedication to duty, Staff Sergeant Almand reflected credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
