Combat Information Center (CIC) Evals


Operations Specialist aboard USS LABOON (DDG-58). Petty Officer Doe consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise and leadership in the Combat Information Center during high-tempo multinational operations. He expertly managed tactical data systems, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of over 1,200 surface, subsurface, and air contacts, directly contributing to the ship's operational success and mission readiness.




As CICWO, he maintained the tactical data picture onboard NEVERPORT during intermediate and advance phases and was directly responsible for establishing multi-link operations with the Royal Navy, strengthening our ally relationships. As CICWS he trained and mentored 17 junior Sailors and five officers, increasing operational readiness. As AIC, he controlled 84 hours of air operation duties and 12 live events, increasing combat effectiveness in the Carrier Strike Group.




As GCCS-M (DBM), provided a near real time maritime picture for CIC along with receiving and reviewing Strike Coordinated Overlays (SCOs) for Tomahawk strike team. As a CIC watch stander, supervised the surface picture and backed up the bridge in surface contacts, maneuvering recommendations, and information on specific surface contacts. As a division RPPO, ordered and collected $7000 worth of CIC consumable parts and equipment parts. As a CSADD member, participated in and helped in three different CSADD events. As a division MWR representative, provided one successful event for my division, increasing my division morale.




** VERSATILE PETTY OFFICER SECOND CLASS WHO EMBODIES PROFESSIONALISM AND DEDICATION **

-TACTICAL EXPERT. Supervised 4 CIC Watch Teams throughout SWATT, C2X, and HSTCG Deployment 2024-2025. Led and Trained 6 junior sailors in a variety of watchstations to include CIC LOG KEEPER, SURFACE WARFARE SUPERVISOR, AND DATABASE MANAGER.




As CIC Watch Supervisor, he provided invaluable in-rate training to junior sailors. He assisted in qualifying two CIC Watch Supervisors and three GCCS-M Operators, greatly increasing divisional effectiveness and watch bill flexibility.




While LPO of Operations Department, CIC Division, the SCAC picked up and directed the intercept of five Iranian maritime patrol aircraft while the carrier strike group was patrolling the northern Indian Ocean in support of Afghanistan operations. The quick action prevented unescorted over flight of the carrier strike group. Additionally, the operations shop successfully completed two Sea-Sparrow missile launch exercises against two decoy targets.




As CIC Watch Supervisor, he led his watch team of 12 personnel through 15 Sea and Anchor details, 5 UNREPS, assisting the transit of the ship across 1,279 nautical miles during TRIPOLI's 2022 Maiden Deployment. His supervision was indispensable to the watch team's proficiency in safety of navigation, tactical maneuvers, and other major CIC evolutions.




As a CIC GCCS-M subject matter expert onboard USS OAK HILL (LSD-51), OS2 conducted extensive training through two deployments and three DSCA periods. Ensured 100% mission readiness during an extensive 18 month CNO availability. As one of only two Operations Petty officers in charge while working in ILO, she inventoried and assessed 2,463 technical manuals and over 10,000 parts.
