Second Class Petty Officer Association (SCPOA)


President

- LEADER OF PEERS. Elected by his peers to stand up the command's first-ever SCPOA as President. Drafted the by-laws enhancing camaraderie and esprit-de-corps across a highly diverse group.

- MESS MOTIVATOR. Competitively selected as SCPOA President. Led X SCPOs and spearheaded X fundraisers resulting in $X raised.

- LEADER AMONGST PEERS. As Second Class Petty Officer Association President, planned a Command Toy Drive and Children's Holiday Party, enhancing command morale and cohesion.

- LEADER AMONGST PEERS. Selected by peers as SCPOA President! Led X Second Class Petty Officers in coordinating the 20XX Command Holiday party, improving morale for X Sailors and their families. Organized quarterly volunteer beach clean-up event with the city of X, making a positive impact on the local community. Organized five fundraising events and raised $X towards Mess functions.

- LEADER OF PEERS. Stood up the first-ever SCPOA. As President, she provided invaluable training and guidance to 13 SCPOs.

As President of the SCPOA, led 13 outstanding SECOND CLASS PETTY OFFICERS in the ENLISTED ADVANCEMENT/ MENTORSHIP PROGRAM which facilitated a variety of training topics which positively affected over 60 Sailors and contributed to 26 advancements, 6 BJOQ/JSOQ selections, and 4 college degrees earned.

As SCPOA president, she lead 33 fellow Second Classes in command and community functions, built a $2,000 fund balance, helped start up our local CSAD chapter and organized their first fund raiser.

As President of the Second Class Petty Officer Association, she spearheaded multiple COMREL projects for 60 personnel that resulted in 2400 off-duty hours for such programs as Habitat for Humanity, Susan G Komen For the Cure, Virginia Beach public schools, and the food banks of Southampton Roads.

As the Second Class Petty Officer Association president, he was the driving force behind a successful CPO-365 Phase I while simultaneously coordinating 100 hours of community service.

As the Command's SCPOA President, she managed the coordination of four community events and fundraisers equating to over 20 hours of community service.

As Second Class Petty Officer Association president, she arranged 7 events, 3 contests, and taped over 130 hours of United Through Reading videos, boosting morale for Sailors as well as families back home.




Vice President

- PHENOMENAL MANAGER. As SCPOA Vice President, coordinated the efforts of # Sailors to raise $# in merchandise sales in support of the annual holiday party, increasing command morale.

- MESS INVOLVED. As SCPOA Vice President, led fundraising efforts resulting in $X raised for the command's Children's Holiday Party, enhancing command morale.

- MESS INVOLVED. Elected by his peers as SCPOA Vice President! Led X Second Class Petty Officers in coordinating the Children's Holiday Party. Coordinated six command-wide fundraising events resulting in a profit of $X.

- COMMAND FOCUSED. As the SCPOA Vice President, worked with 53 Second Class Petty Officers, planning and coordinating 7 functions including the command holiday party, a community Clean the Bay , and 5 fundraisers which raised over $X,XXX.

As the Vice President of the SCPOA, he led five Sailors in the planning and execution of the Navy Region Northwest Second Class Petty Officer symposium which provided training to 129 Second Classes by some of the best leaders the Navy has to offer.




SCPOA Secretary

- COMMAND DRIVEN. As SCPOA Secretary, led # sales events yielding $# towards # command functions, boosting morale for # Sailors.

- ENGAGED LEADER. As SCPOA secretary, she provided detailed information regarding fundraising and training events in addition to meeting minutes and information to her peers.

As Secretary of the SCPOA, led 18 SCPOs in preparing lectures for nine Sailor 360 evolutions.

As Secretary of SCPOA, was the driving force behind a variety of fundraising efforts and events, positively increasing the morale of all Sailors.

As an Active SCPOA member, she revitalized association minutes and betterment education on building Navy biographies.




Treasurer

- COMMAND DEDICATED. As the SCPOA treasurer, managed the organization's finances and helped raise over $# in sales, increasing SCPOA funds and aiding in the construction of command morale building activities.

- MESS DEDICATED. As SCPOA Treasurer, expertly managed a $X budget and successfully raised $X.




SCPOA Master at Arms

- TEAM DRIVEN. As SCPOA Master-at-Arms, assisted in # events yielding $#.

- PEER LEADER. As SCPOA Master-at-Arms, maintained good order and discipline during monthly meetings.

- INFLUENTIAL SCPOA MEMBER. As SCPOA Master at Arms, she revised the by-laws, enhancing camaraderie and esprit-de-corps across a highly diverse group of Second Class Petty Officers.

- COMMAND ADVOCATE. As SCPOA Master at Arms, he led X SCPOs in the coordination of X community service events and fundraising of $X.




SCPOA Educational Officer

As SCPOA Educational Officer, helped train his peers in professional knowledge, accelerating the advancement of 28 of his peers over the last two advancement cycles.




SCPOA Public Affairs Officer

- COMMAND INVOLVED. As SCPOA PAO, advertised sales and events that raised over $# in support of # command morale boosting events.




Volunteer Coordinator

- COMMAND INVOLVED. As SCPOA PAO, oversaw # fundraising events raising $#K and contributing the MWR's events and the command Holiday Party.

- PEERLESS LEADER. As SCPOA Volunteer Coordinator, sponsored X community service events to sustain our Navy's future by making a positive impact on junior Sailors, our peers and the local community.

- MESS FOCUSED. As Second Class Petty Officer Association (SCPOA) Volunteer Coordinator, scheduled a planned landscape restoration and cleaning projects within the park.

As the Command Sponsorship Program and SCPOA events coordinator, he guaranteed the efficient and safe transfer of 27 incoming personnel and planned six events which brought in a total of $1,200, increasing command morale and camaraderie.




Member

- MESS FRONTRUNNER. As an Second Class Petty Officer Association (SCPOA) member, raised more than $X through various SCPOA fundraisers to support MWR events increasing the effectiveness and strength of the SCPOA.

- MESS INVOLVED. As a member of SCPOA, he volunteered for X fundraisers and helped raised more than $X for the SCPOA.

- EXTRAORDINARY FACILITATOR. Through the Second Class Petty Officer Association, she imparted knowledge to X Sailors on how to master a self-sufficient successful career.

- EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS. Volunteered for X fundraisers and raised more than $X for the SCPOA. Also facilitated two training sessions for X Second Class Petty Officers during Sailor 360.

- COMMAND ADVOCATE. An active SCPOA member, she helped raise $1,250. Dedicated five hours to CPO 365 Phase I and four hours to PO2 Leadership course, and six hours to the PO3 Leadership course.

Active SCPOA member and Secretary. Participated in numerous SCPOA functions.

SHE SPENT OVER 50 OFF-DUTY HOURS SUPPORTING THE SECOND CLASS PETTY OFFICER ASSOCIATION, PARTICIPATING IN 10 FUND RAISERS, RAISING OVER $1000 AND INCREASING THE MORALE AND WELFARE OF THE ENTIRE COMMAND.
