Tomahawk (TLAM) Eval Statements



Led a team of two junior FCs in the coordination of 143 Master Air Attack Planning Toolkit simulated tomahawk strikes during the two-week Ulchi Freedom Shield Exercise. Supervised the successuful execution of 150 targets through Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System during Pacific Sentry 2023.




FC1 coached 34 Sailors onboard 12 ships in the various operation and maintenance techniques of the Tomahawk Weapon System. Her efforts greatly strengthened system knowledge and self-sustainability prior to their high tempo deployments.




Led and advised more than 4,000 military members, civilian employees, and contractors on supporting the surface fleet with In-Service Engineering. She prepared for the evaluation of 14 Military Programs for the NAVSEA IG inspection resulting in 100% compliance and readiness. As the lead Military Liaison for Tomahawk Modernization & Installation, she orchestrated SOVTs, installations, and modernizations for four shore sites and 21 FRUs, ensuring Fleet Readiness.




Tomahawk Engagement Manager for DECATUR's C5F deployment, planned a total of 3,000 simulated Tomahawk strikes achieving a T-1 score for 118 consecutive days. During DECATUR's INSURV inspection, received a score of 99% for both Tomahawk Weapons System and COMSEC material. As LPO, her superior leadership and technical expertise during Tomahawk System Operability and Verification Testing led to the upgrade and mission readiness of the entire Tomahawk Weapon Suite. CSTT lead for STW, trained a brand new team for CMTQ receiving a T-1 score for 18 scenarios during SWATT.




Targeting Analyst for COMSEVENTHFLT's Tomahawk Mission Planning Cell. Successfully helped execute 88 Tomahawk strike scenarios resulting in the successful completion of OPEP assessment.




Led the release of 12 Tomahawk Update Messages, 23 Tomahawk Mission Libraries and 5,244 TLAM missions to 95 platforms across the Pacific Fleet. Revised the Command Mission Distribution Order checklist, increasing the speed of the process by 20 percent. Maintained the proficiency of 15 Sailors as MDS operator for the fiscal year with zero discrepancies.




As Tomahawk Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) Leading Petty Officer (LPO) he has been responsible for maintenance on over 100 Tomahawk missiles and gas management, including one ENCAN/DECAN. Also led the IMA through the preparation and success of the Level-1 recertification.




Team Sergeant for a US Central Command directed mission to destroy two US Navy Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles fired from the USS Arleigh Burke and USS Philippine Sea which malfunctioned in flight and crashed into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the initial strike against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. On-site, Master Sergeant Smith ensured the US Central Command and Navy Central Command's intelligence requirements were met by fully documenting the crash site location and the condition of the weapon's warhead and classified components, verifying the weapon system had not been tampered with and all critical components were accounted for. Further, Sergeant Smith directly assisted the team's two Explosive Ordinance Disposal technicians in preparing the demolition charges for the warhead and classified components and in conducting the post-blast analysis of the demolition, confirming all sensitive and dangerous items were properly destroyed.




He took on the duties and responsibilities of a civilian contractor as Tomahawk Strike Mission Planning Cell System Administrator. Responsible for normal day to day maintenance and trouble shooting of all TC2S communications.
