OUTSTANDING ARMORER. As Duty Armorer, flawlessly completed over 2,500 weapons transactions, while responsible for the accountability and maintenance of 216 weapons, 11,000 rounds of small arms ammunition, 62 batons, 62 OC canisters, 28 radios, 12 keys, and 1 eyewash station.
1 of 9 command Duty Armorers / AA&E Handler providing duty section support to all armed watch standers. Assisted with the qualifications of 12 junior sailors to become Security Reaction Force-Bravo qualified's for USS Green Bay's quarterdeck and Top Side rover watch standers.
Volunteered to assist MSRON-1B's armory department by volunteering for a Duty Armorer role. While serving in this capacity, BU2 contributed to the issue of over (35) M4 rifles, (20) M9 pistols, and five sets of crew served weapons for (3) mission sets in the HOA AOR.
Served As Duty Armorer for Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group Forward (NAVELSG FWD) Consolidated Arms Room at Camp Arifjan. Petty Officer Wood competently secured and accounted for over 300 small arms and sensitive controlled items belonging to NAVELSG FWD and tenant commands, including NAVCENT FWD HQ Kuwait, the Army's 519th Signal Company, and 15th Engineering Battalion. Due to his diligence, all weapons were ready for issue to members for supporting unit missions.
Noble Eagle 5076 acting duty armorer. Controlled and accounted for over $37,000 in ammunition at MSRON 10's most successful gunshoot. Which resulted in over 40 personnel qualifying in crew serve and small arms prior to embarking for Operation Enduring Freedom. He was also responsible for mission sensitive equipment and weapons valued over $350,000.00.
As Duty Armorer he was responsible for 123 weapons, 2,000 ammunitions, and 24 night vision monocular worth $436,000 along with the uploading/downloading of personnel to sustain continuous operational readiness.
