Auxiliary Security Force (ASF) Evals


OS3 Vargas performed admirably in his role within the Navy Closure Task Force - Red Hill, executing duties related to operations coordination and support with diligence and attention to detail. His responsibilities included Access Control Point (ACP) and Rover security, including gate security and verifying IDs.




-DEDICATED TEAMPLAYER. While temporarily assigned to Auxiliary Security Force, he completed X vehicle inspections, increasing the overall safety, security, and effectiveness of the pier sentries within the confines of the installation.




His direct leadership of XX Sailors and experiance within the Armed-Watch Standing Program resulted in an overall score of 95% for the CNRFC and CNIC antiterrorism and Force Protection inspection to include Physical Security and 3M. The Command was ranked #X of XX NRC's for this program.




- Mission Focused. He is a vital member of the Auxiliary Security Force, which provides assistance to the base's undermanned Security Department for several major events and drills ensuring an increased force protection readiness posture.




Petty Officer Smith's antiterrorism force protection expertise yielded a hardened, layered defense derived from 13 armed watchstanders which provided 5,000 man-hours of vigilance. He executed 850 random antiterrorism measures alongside a drill weekend reserve force of 20 sailors. Provided 720 man-hours of sentry watch, resulting in the overall security and protection of 54 Navy and Marine full-time staff, 2 civilians and 780 reservists on a remote off-installation 14-acre NOSC.




As Auxiliary Security Force, stood 450 hours of Gate Sentry, conducted 55 vehicle inspections, and implemented base-wide anti-terrorism measures. His efforts ensured good order and discipline was maintained and enhanced base Force Protection Posture.




He trained 9 personnel on the duties of Entry Control Point. He worked over 30 hours to ensure that the watch section was properly trained on the duties of Entry Control point.




Auxiliary Security Force member Seaman Charles attended the ASF Academy and the NCIS Active Shooter course held on the installation. Seaman Charles qualified with OC (received level I and II contamination), M9 service pistol and M500 shotgun and Brig chaser/Prisoner Escort. His dedication coupled with his unparalleled knowledge in the areas of Force Protection and Weapons Handling is evidenced by the significant improvement of Tactical Readiness Evaluations on the waterfront since his arrival.




Seaman Charles stood 120 hours of watch in support of AT/FP measures to include active shooter drill Operation Solid Curtain. Stood security watches in support of 2 POTUS and 1 SECNAV visits that provided a secure environment. He supervised and participated in the inaugural Code Silver Active Shooter exercise with Kitsap County Fire and Ambulance units and all four CITADEL SHEILD/SOLID CURTAIN Force Protection exercises.




OS1 LOGAN PLANNED, COORDINATED, AND EXECUTED THE FIRST DEPLOYMENT OF A MSRON UNIT TO DJIBOUTI AFRICA IN SUPPORT OF FORCE PROTECTION AND HARBOR SECURITY.




Watch Commander. MA2 Nelson represented the Security Officer and supervised the daily operations of all law enforcement and force protection duties within Charlie Section including special assignments, RAMs, Weapons and Ammunition escorts, and Funds Escort. He supervised 13 deployed Air Force Security Forces personnel in the daily force protection of 7 high-value aircraft that directly supported the increased operations tempo during Operations Odyssey Dawn and Unified Protector in Libya.




PETTY OFFICER SULLIVAN'S EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGERIAL SKILLS WERE FUNDAMENTAL TO THE SUCCESS OF TRUMAN'S 160 SECURITY FORCE SAILORS IN PROVIDING ANTI-TERRORISM AND FORCE PROTECTION POINT DEFENSE. DURING THE DOCKED PLANNED INCREMENTAL AVAILABILITY 2016, HIS EFFORTS ENSURED THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF SECURITY AND FORCE PROTECTION WERE MET.




While under constant threat of enemy contact, Sgt Aceves was unwavering in his mission to secure dignitaries representing the US State Department. Sgt Aceves, with disregard for his own safety, left the security of his vehicle while under fire, to direct his convoy in engaging insurgent forces and effectively and safely escorted VIPs out of the contact area and to safety.




AS THE FORCE PROTECTION TRAINING TEAM (FPTT) LEADING PETTY OFFICER, HE PLANNED AND EXECUTED DETAILED TRAINING FOR 225 NSF AND DOD POLICE OFFICERS AS WELL AS OVER 100 AUXILIARY SECURITY FORCE PERSONNEL. HE DEMONSTRATED SUPERIOR LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS AS THE SUPERVISOR OF A SIX PERSON TRAINING TEAM WHICH PROVIDED TOP NOTCH INSTRUCTION FOR OVER 200 FORCE PROTECTION PERSONNEL DURING ANNUAL SUSTAINMENT TRAINING AND OC RECERTIFICATION.




AS A KEY MEMBER OF NAVY REGION SOUTHWEST AUXILIARY SECURITY FORCE, PETTY OFFICER KOTSKY LED 2 PLATOONS OF 88 SAILORS DEMONSTRATING HIS DIVERSE ABILITY IN THE FIELD OF FORCE PROTECTION.
