JRSOI Officer Awards

JRSOI officer

LS1 Diallo served as the JRSOI officer for the UFS exercise, coordinating movement for over 5,000 troops and managing more than 30,000 tons of supplies and equipment. He maintained professionalism and resilience in a high stress environment, handled multiple exercise incidents, and ensured uninterrupted movement of personnel and materiel. During the two week exercise he served as LPO for 12 sailors, revamped the JRSOI CUB slide with clearer visuals, and stayed proactive by identifying alternate routes to prevent bottlenecks.

He trained two sailors to operate the JRSOI watchstation and provided targeted knowledge transfer to transportation, fuel, and mortuary affairs officers, strengthening cross functional capability across the exercise. He produced two after action reports to capture lessons learned and improve future exercises. Senior leadership recognized his contributions and assessed his performance as equivalent to an O4 level or above for assuming the JRSOI Role.

In addition to exercise duties, LS1 delivered strong command support: he completed 19 CDBs for CNFK members and 40 CDBs at his TRUIC, eliminating late or missing entries for both units. He reviewed member records to verify evaluations, ASOSH points, and billet searches to help sailors exit IAP, advised on cross rating and R/C to A/C transitions, facilitated two such transitions, and helped reenlist three sailors. He also served as LPO for 22 RSU sailors at his TRUIC reviewing 3 IAP E-5 sailors' evals and providing input before transferring to chiefs.
