HIS EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP, EXPERIENCE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL PROVED VITAL TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW MARINES AND SET CONDITIONS FOR THE BATTALION'S 2021 TRAINING PLAN. HIS PERSONAL ENGAGEMENT DURING MILITARY FUNERAL HONORS, COMMUNITY RELATION EVENTS AND DUTIES AS A CASUALTY ASSISTANCE CALLS OFFICER IS A MODEL FOR ALL INSPECTOR-INSTRUCTORS ACROSS MARINE FORCES RESERVE. MAJOR SIMMONS' INITIATIVE,PERSEVERANCE, AND DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT ON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS RESERVE TRAVEL AND DEPLOYMENTS CLERK, INSPECTOR-INSTRUCTOR STAFF, 4TH LIGHT ARMORED RECONNAISSANCE BATTALION, 4TH MARINE DIVISION, FROM JULY 2017 TO SEPTEMBER 2017. DURING THIS PERIOD, CORPORAL MILSTEAD CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. CORPORAL MILSTEAD'S RELENTLESS WORK ETHIC AND IMMENSE KNOWLEDGE IN HIS MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL FIELD WAS TRULY EXEMPLIFIED DURING A MARINE CORPS ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYSIS TEAM INSPECTION. HE EXCEPTIONALLY PASSED THIS VIGOROUS INSPECTION WHICH CONSISTED OF NINE INSPECTED AREAS AND 44 INSPECTION QUESTIONS. CORPORAL MILSTEAD'S CONTRIBUTION ENABLED THE BATTALION TO RECEIVE A READINESS GRADE OF 95.15 PERCENT WHICH WAS THE HIGHEST SCORE WITHIN MARINE FORCES RESERVE IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS. CORPORAL MILSTEAD SINGLE HANDEDLY CREATED 501 SETS OF ORDERS, SUBMITTED 461 UNIT DIARIES TOTALLING 4.365, RECEIVING A 97 PERCENT ACCEPTANCE RATING FOR TWO COMPANIES IN BATTALION. CORPORAL MILSTEAD'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS OPERATIONS CHIEF, INSPECTOR INSTRUCTOR STAFF, DETACHMENT TWO, SUPPLY COMPANY COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION 453, FROM AUGUST 2010 TO JUNE 2014. DURING THIS PERIOD, GUNNERY SERGEANT THOMPSON PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE PLANNED AND COORDINATED TRAINING FOR 120 MARINES THROUGH FOUR FISCAL YEARS, INCLUDING 22 COMBAT AND PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST EVENTS, FOUR RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGES, GAS CHAMBERS AND OVER 120 HOURS OF ANNUAL TRAINING. IN ADDITION TO HIS PRIMARY DUTIES, GUNNERY SERGEANT THOMPSON WORKED TO COMPLETE MANY TASKS OUTSIDE OF HIS BILLET. HE SUPPORTED THE FAMILIES OF FALLEN MARINES BY PARTICIPATING IN FUNERALS AND BY SERVING AS A CASUALTY ASSISTANCE CALL OFFICER. GUNNERY SERGEANT THOMPSON EXEMPLIFIED PROFESSIONALISM DURING THESE SENSITIVE EVENTS. HIS GREATEST CONTRIBUTION IS HIS AUTHORSHIP OF EIGHT DETAILED TURNOVER BINDERS THAT WILL PROVIDE FUTURE BILLET HOLDERS WITH A SOUND BASE FROM WHICH TO EXPAND ON HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS. For outstanding meritorious achievement while serving as Inspector-Instructor, Landing Support Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 45, 4th Marine Logistics Group from July 2021 to June 2025. During this period, Major Miller supervised the company's daily operations and coordinated support for 40 drill weekends and 18 annual training exercises, which resulted in 251 Marines across 28 different military occupational specialties achieving mission essential tasks and annual training requirements. Major Miller's superior leadership abilities and operations acumen led to the enhancement of the readiness of the Marines of Landing Support Company, evidenced by a score increase of 33 percent on his unit's Force Readiness Assessment and Assistance Program inspection. Major Miller undeniably impacted the Savannah community in a positive way by demonstrating the professionalism that is a hallmark of the Marine Corps by leading his team in the collection, organization, and distribution of 77,496 toys and 24,558 dollars in monetary donations through his unit's Toys for Tots campaign, and by flawlessly executing 136 funeral honors details. Major Miller's professionalism, perseverance, and loyal dedication to duty reflected great credit on him and were om keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.
For outstanding meritorious service while serving as Inspector-Instructor Operations Chief, Detachment Hawaii, 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, 4th Marine Division from July 2017 to July 2020. During this period, Gunnery Sergeant Dare consistently performed his duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. The Marines and Sailors of the Detachment significantly benefitted from his dedication to realistic and effective training, which included 30 live-fire ranges and small arms qualifications, 360 hours of water training, hundreds of parachute jumps and dives, and 11 Company level field exercises. His leadership, devotion, and bias for training and education significantly advanced the operational relevance of 4th Force Reconnaissance Company. In addition, his influence at the Detachment spread throughout the Reconnaissance Community to include the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation and the Reconnaissance Team Leaders Course, and extended to 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, regional, interagency, and joint partners which will continue to have a lasting impact long after his tour. His mentorship, devotion, and ceaseless tenacity to the Reconnaissance Marines, Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsmen, Active Component, and Select Marine Corps Reserve has been the lifeline of the unit. Gunnery Sergeant Dares' tireless efforts to carry out his duties with unfailing good judgment, effectiveness and total dedication to duty reflected great credit upon him and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.

DURING THIS PERIOD, MAJOR MARAFFI CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. MAJOR MARAFFI PLANNED AND EXECUTED THREE ANNUAL TRAINING PLANS AND FIVE ANNUAL TRAINING EXERCISES THAT INCLUDED HEAVY METAL 14, INTEGRATED TRAINING EXERCISE 15, ARTIC EAGLE 16, NORTHERN STRIKE 16, AND NORDIC FROST 17. MAJOR MARAFFI PROVIDED SOUND MENTORSHIP AND GUIDANCE TO THREE COMPANY COMMANDERS, ENSURING THE SMOOTH AND UNINTERRUPTED SUCCESS OF ALL COMPANY OPERATIONS RESULTING IN A SCORE OF 92 PERCENT ON THE COMMANDING GENERAL'S READINESS INSPECTION. HIS LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS PROVIDED FOR THE FLAWLESS ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE COMPANY'S FIVE MILLION DOLLAR SUPPLY ACCOUNT. ADDITIONALLY, MAJOR MARAFFI OVERSAW THE EXECUTION OF 353 MILITARY FUNERAL HONORS DETAILS AND 21 COMMUNITY RELATIONS EVENTS IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND WEST VIRGINIA.
