PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS PORT OPERATIONS WORKCENTER SUPERVISOR AND COXSWAIN ONBOARD NAVAL AIR STATION (NAS) PATUXENT RIVER FROM OCTOBER 2019 TO SEPTEMBER 2022. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER MITCHELL LED EIGHT SAILORS IN THE MAINTENANCE AND UPKEEP OF EIGHT SMALL BOATS, 10 UTILITY TRAILERS, AND 12,000 FEET OF CONTAINMENT BOOM AND RELATED SPILL RESPONSE EQUIPMENT. HE MANAGED ALL WORKCENTER MAINTENANCE SCHEDULING, OVERSEEING THE COMPLETION OF 13,456 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS, CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUPPORT OF 36 FUEL BARGE EVOLUTIONS, RESULTING IN THE TRANSFER OF 26 MILLION GALLONS OF JP-5 FUEL WITH ZERO MISHAPS, ENABLING NAS PATUXENT RIVER TO MAINTAIN A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT MISSION CAPABLE STATUS. PETTY OFFICER MITCHELL'S UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
