-EXEPTIONAL MANAGER. As BEQ Building Manager, CS2 Ortiz, lead 15 sailors and two local nationals in the daily operation managing 186 beds for a total of 184 residents. She submitted and tracked the completion of 367 service request, submitted for ventilation, fire alarm PMI, and five changes of occupancy renovated and valued at $3.7M. Her efforts improved the material condition readiness of the building, vastly enhancing the quality of life for all residents.

-EXPERT ADMINSTRATOR. As Departmental CPPA accurately processed six pay adjustments, four flight request, three gain packages, three transfers and one separation with zero discrepancies. As Departmental career counselor she organized seven CDBs, one transfer to SELRES, two extensions and one Obligated Service directly enhancing retention and mission readiness. As Training PO, she assured completion of all FY25 and FY26 GMT trainings, achieved four USMAP completions, two associates and one bachelor s degree.

-COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR. Devoted 82.5 hours across multiple community organizations, including Red Cross, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, FEMA, and G.L.A.S.S Association. Supported base beautification initiatives and efforts with the Harry S. Truman Lodge No. 649 demonstrating commitment to service, teamwork, and community engagement.

MISSION FOCUSED. Led a team of two junior sailors and two local nationals in the administrative and operational requirements across 12 buildings for more than 838 residents. HT2 Nanez ensured the enhancement of maintenance and material condition for 544 rooms and processed over 2,000 service calls in accordance with both Navy Housing and CNIC compliance for NSA Naples.

TECHNICAL EXPERT. As Fire Marshall, she conducted daily walkthroughs and safety checks which resulted in 30 CO2 Bottle replacements worth $30k eliminating hazards for over 360 residents. Her efforts enhance the quality of life by maintaining all records and reports to keep safety at 100% for all Unaccompanied Housing residents in NSA Naples.

TEAM PLAYER. In her short time on Unaccompanied Housing she was appointed as Assistant Government Vehicle Petty Officer, managing maintenance, mileage log, and proper check in and check out of the government vehicle worth over $45k.
