Fireman (FN) Eval Examples


DCFN contributed immensely to Damage Control mission readiness; he is always ready and willing to complete any task with exceptional results.

-SUPERB ORGANIZER. As a repair locker custodian; he is in charge of over $1,000,000 in repair and fire fighting equipment. During a recent LTT inspection that was conducted by ATG/EAP showed that he consistently maintained DCRS 5 inventory at a 100%.
-DEDICATED MAINTENANCE MAN. Accomplished over 3000 PMS checks, resulting in ER04 overall score of 96% during the ship's 3M 1.3 CERT. He repaired 10 SCBA PACKS removing each pack from degraded condition, saving the ship $10K of repair costs.
-OUTSTANDING TRAINER. A dedicated trainer and technical expert, he is sought out to improve others professionally and personally on JOHN PAUL JONES. As a result he helped qualify more than 50 people in basic and advanced DC at a 96 percent average.

GSMFN Fernando surprised her leadership by working on MER1 Lube oil service pump foundation preservation after hours without being told to do so. Fireman Fernando's work ethic is proven on a daily basis due to her initiative and diligence.




EMFN Taylor's exceptional work ethic, team work and technical skill shined while TAD to USS Oscar Austin DDG 79. His hard work in the installation of 350 feet of electrical cable, 15 new receptacles, 8 new junction boxes, 2 light switches, 1 coffee maker, 1 cappuccino machine, 1 hot food well, and the replacement of 175 feet of damaged or incorrect wiring left behind by BAE. EMFN Taylor conducted over 10 hours of electrical troubleshooting and 12 hours of false bulkhead fabrications for the receptacles, light switches, and cable installations. His efforts directly resulted in saving the USS Oscar Austin 4 weeks and $15k in BAE repairs and ensured the ship now has a capable wardroom.




FN Jackson was a superior asset to the Causeway ferry shop and vital to the passing of both CF06 and CF07 INSURVs. FN created 16 new mooring lines, one grappling hook, and four life rings. FN Jackson installed four new flexor actuators, two new flexor rods, and helped with the positioning of a new turbo.

- Most Trusted OOD. Personally trained and qualified five OODs, 11 Conning Officers, 12 JOOWs, and nine Helm Safety Officers, greatly enhancing the expertise of the NIMITZ Bridge Team. He is my go to OOD! Flawlessly executed 17 Sea and Anchor Evolutions.

- Expert Maintenance Manager. Directed 1,232 man-hours of Lay-up maintenance for all shipboard external communications systems in support of an early start of Planned Incremental Availability 2021. Managed and coordinated three modernization upgrades, ensuring interoperability between modernized and legacy systems.
