As the lead technician for corrective and preventative maintenance within his division, GSE2 managed to lead two sailors in the troubleshooting and repair of 4 LM2500 GTEs and 3 Allison K34 GTGs, restoring from multiple complex casualties to different components of all 7 engines. Replacement of 1B PTO Speed Pick-up Sensor, NR2 GTG RIMSS Ignitor harness replacement, replacement of NR1 GTG VME CHASIS in a timely manner which prevented the ship from losing a vital engine while underway! GSE2 Also led his division during LOA resulting in 100% efficiency for 5 DIUs, 4 UCCs and all 7 Engines demonstrating all hot and cold checks for assessors resulting in the passing of LOA.
-VERSATILE TECHNICIAN. GSE2 aided and supervised successful troubleshooting and repair on USS AMERICA during loss of power, leading to rebooting and repairing 2 GCUs and over 13 DAUs, clearing faults in the machinery control system.
-EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC. Completed over 200 man hours maintaining proper function on fuel/oily waste systems, raising the periodic accomplishment rate to 97%. GSE2 participated in 6 successful oily waste off-loads and maintained ship's readiness by troubleshooting/replacing comp group 4 seawater valves.
-TEAM PLAYER. As EM divisional training petty officer, she facilitated over 25 trainings in 2025, boosting main propulsion level of knowledge and engineering readiness. GSE2 is a versatile and capable calibration petty officer, maintaining over 84 gauges in EB14 workcenter, leading to 83% readiness. She is dedicated to volunteer work and served 6 hours at the Armed Services YMCA San Diego, ensuring over 500 guests had a positive experience through their variety of activites.

Her knowledge was critical in the troubleshooting and repairs to Nr 3 GTG EXCOP, EPIOU, thermocouples, overtemp relay; NR 2 GTG Voltage Regulator, NR 1 GTG EXCOP, 1B AND 2A GTM UEC and the ICAS system, reestablishing the engineering plant to 100% efficiency, and saving the ship $734K.

As EM04 WCS, she led four personnel in the completion of 2037 preventative maintenance checks, ensuring optimal material readiness and the continued safe operation of NITZE's engineering plant equipment. She trained 28 personnel in multiple watch stations including PSM, ERO, IEM and Switchboard Operator directly boosting watchbill flexibility and the level of knowledge of all junior sailors.

GSE2 Bell has supervised his personnel in the completion of repairs to major equipment to include Nr 1 and Nr 2 No Break Power Supply, Nr 1 and Nr 2 Vent Fog Precipitators, Nr 2 Main Reduction Gear Dehumidifier and Nr 2 Fuel Oil Purifier.

PETTY OFFICER SAILOR FILLED A CRITICAL VACANT POSITION ON BOARD LCS CREW 202 THAT LED TO THE SUCCESSFUL VALIDATION OF 177 ELECTRICAL POWER PANELS AND THE RESOLUTION OF 233 ELECTRICAL DISCREPANCIES IN PREPARATION FOR BOARD OF INSPECTION AND SURVEY.
PETTY OFFICER SAILOR'S EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE WAS VITAL TO THE TIME-CRITICAL FLUSHING OF TWO MAIN REDUCTION GEAR SUMPS WHICH ENABLED USS INDEPENDENCE (LCS 2) TO ACCOMPLISH ITS FIRST-EVER VOYAGE THROUGH THE PANAMA CANAL.
AS TRAIN-TO-QUALIFY LEADING PETTY OFFICER, HE MANAGED THE LCS HULL-SPECIFIC TRAINING PIPELINES FOR 125 SAILORS ENSURING 8 LCS CREWS AND 7 MISSION PACKAGE DETACHMENTS RECEIVED FULLY-QUALIFIED AND WELL-TRAINED SAILORS.
HIS EFFORTS, AS A MEMBER OF THE ENGINEERING TRAINING TEAM, WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE TRAINING OF LCS CREWS 103, 104, AND 203, RESULTING IN A SUCCESSFUL ENGINEERING OPERATIONS CERTIFICATION.
While Code 261 leading technician at Southwest Regional maintenance center, led the completion of 14 control checks during 7 Total Ships Readiness Assessments (TSRA), 6 TYCOM Material Inspections (TMI), and 4 Board of Inspection and Surveys (INSURV) on 7 ships.
As the Gage Calibration Program Manager, maintained 100% accountability of 37 test equipment items worth more than $500K with 96% Total Readiness.
