Combat Systems Maintenance Manager and CF Division Leading Chief Petty officer onboard USS Billings from November 2017 to February 2023. His efforts led to a successful sail-around and commissioning. His continued determination led to five successful tests for the class-wide TRS-3D single board computer upgrade. Additionally, he led the ship's Qual/Cert program to a score of 99% during Billings' first Shipboard Explosives Safety Inspection. He was key in standing up Billings' zone inspection program, coordinating program turnover between both crews. His dedication ensured Billings' Combat Systems Suite was maintained and ready for action during Billings Blue Crews maiden deployment, leading to the successful disruption of 2,000 Kg of cocaine in the 4th Fleet area of responsibility. As a qualified Tactical Action Officer he was critical in problem solving while on deployment, and helped to train four additional TAOs.
As Poland White 1 Tactical Action Officer (TAO) he led his team in the successful completion of two rotations of Aegis Ashore Academy, Aegis Ashore Team Trainer, BMD Qualification and BMD Exercises. His team's tactical proficiency, professionalism and adaptability were applauded by Afloat Training Group and Tactical Training Group Atlantic. His team was one of the first operational watchstanders for AAMDS PL coming online.
As the Senior Watch Officer (SWO) he drafted the first watchbill executed by the command for watch, and 6 watchbills after to cover Continuous Maintenance Availability (CMAV), External Calibration (EXCAL), and standard operational watchstanding at Nato Readiness Level four.
Qualified three TAOs, three Combat Systems Coordinators, one Combat Systems Officer Of the Watch's, and one Missile System Supervisor, adding greater flexibility to his teams watch cycles enabling more crew rest. Led his teams in 16 All-Star events and 23 Unified Guardian and 1 Senior Guardian exercises, providing mission assurance to Sixth Fleet and CTF-64 staff. He oversaw two successful External Calibrations, one of which was the first one completed by the crew, and lead 14 watch standers and coordinated with outside entities to provide the system with the annual calibration required for mission success.
His prior KMI experience was vital during the initial COR Audit for the command helping to provide status updates and helping to correct 3 Practices Dangerous to Security (PDS) and 27 Reportable COMSEC Incidents. Additionally he help to coordinate and facilitate troubleshooting efforts that led to the correction of a major outage in the KMI system restoring the command's crypto capabilities.
As Tactical Action Officer she monitored special use airspace of four installations in support of 126 tenant commands comprised of 25,000 military and civilian personnel.
