Deployed with the Marine Security Element and Marine Detachment SOTF 511.2 in connection with operations against the enemy in the Philippines, from August 2017 to February 2018.
- CPL Miller consistently maintained a high level of efficiency and continually enhanced the operational effectiveness of his command and gained the respect and admiration of all who associated with him. He demonstrated attention to detail and dedication to duty as well as unfaltering execution of security operations. He displayed outstanding initiative and perseverance despite the extremely adverse conditions and difficulties associated with a high combat ops tempo.
- The integration between Special Operations and Marine Corps elements was flawless during this time due to mission focus, professionalism and flexibility. The six months of uninterupted and vigilant security that he provided for Special Operation forces counterparts and interagency partners allowed them to focus on their assigned liaison and counter terrorism tasks.
- CPL Miller provided over 4,000 hours of base security, 1,400 hours of over night airfield security, more than 1,300 security escorts, and security of six VIP visits, including the U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Pacific Command commander.
Arriving in March 2023, Cpl Reynolds was sent to 2nd Platoon of Golf Company and was immediately assigned to be the platoon sergeant to leverage his experience as an NCO to mentor the extremely junior platoon. Upon becoming platoon sergeant, he oversaw the platoon's transition from MTX 2-23 into basic infantry skills and preparations for Fire Team Live fire attacks on Range F5 and a marksmanship live-fire training package on K508, during which he was the lead instructor and line NCO for the short bay range.
Cpl Reynolds went to AIMC in late March of 2023 and while at the school promoted to Sgt. He graduated from the course and immediately went to Live-fire platoon attacks on G36 and then again at G27 for BN FEX II a month later. During BN FEX II, his squad was given the most difficult task of seizing the final trench after already supporting the breaching squad that seized the first trench.
Sgt Reynolds continued to serve as squad leader during ITX 5-23 and led over 50 hours of whitespace training aboard Camp Wilson and led his squad on four live-fire ranges including R410A, R400, and the Company live-fire defense. Sgt Reynolds' squad performed exceptionally well and remained adaptable to maneuver on a machine gun bunker that unmasked during consolidation on the platoon's run on R410A.
Upon return from ITX 5-23, Sgt Reynolds attended ISULC and graduated with excellent scores. His development during this course was obvious upon return and he continued to be the senior squad leader that developed the Marines and be a trusted advisor to the platoon sergeant and the platoon commander.
In February of 2024, the battalion departed to Okinawa for UDP-E 24.1, during which Sgt Reynolds was thoroughly impressive. He spent over two months of the deployment as the platoon sergeant, resulting in a seamless transition with respect to both administrative control and tactical readiness. He assisted in the planning and oversaw the execution of the platoon field exercise in TA4A which developed junior leaders to lead squads and teams in tactical scenarios, and trained individual marines in land nav, radios, and camouflage techniques. During the 100km hike in five days, Sgt Reynolds managed timelines, EDL, and personnel as platoon sergeant to ensure the employment and morale of the platoon. As Squad leader during the deployment, he developed and briefed each platoon in the company a PME on counter-vertical assault, increasing the company's ability to accomplish the Stand-in-force mission essential tasks for 3d MARDIV.
Upon return from UDP, Sgt Reynolds continued to serve as platoon sergeant for an additional two months and oversaw the transition of 20 Marines leaving the unit and the integration of 15 Marines into the platoon. He took the initiative to develop training plans and supervised the day-to-day operations of the platoon, ensuring the success of the platoon in the Infantry Immersion Trainer.

For heroic achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as an 0311 Rifleman, Company C, 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in support of Operation JOINT GUARDIAN on June 23, 1999. While conducting a mounted patrol in the vicinity of Zegra, Kosovo, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Lance Corporal Szczesny's element came under sudden and accurate fire from a Serbian sniper ambush positioned in the surrounding high ground. With total disregard for his own safety, Lance Corporal Szczesny immediately oriented himself toward the source of the fire. Despite rounds impacting the deck in close proximity to his position, he effectively suppressed the enemy position with precise fires, allowing his squad to maneuver out of the kill zone and establish a defensive perimeter. His coolness under fire and rapid tactical response were instrumental in neutralizing the threat and ensuring the safety of his fellow Marines without sustained casualties. Lance Corporal Szczesny's steadfast initiative, courageous actions, and total dedication to duty reflected great credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.

For professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving with Company G, Second Battalion, Ninth Marine Marines, Third Division off the coast of Cambodia on 15 May 1975. Assigned as Rifleman, Lance Corporal Valentine participated in the combat assault against hostile forces located on Koh Tang Island in support of operations to rescue the SS MAYAGUEZ, an American Charter Ship seized by the Khymer Rouge during an act Of international piracy. As the helicopter in which he was embarked approached its designated landing zone, it came under intense enemy small arms and automatic weapons fire that severely damaged the aircraft, causing it to crash into the surf approximately 100 meters from the beach. Although dazed from the crash, Lance Corporal Valentine courageously exited the downed helicopter and assaulted across the beach to position where the remainder of his unit had established a defensive perimeter. Throughout the day, Lance Corporal Valentine boldly and skillfully manned his position and delivered a steady volume of accurate and devastating fire into the attacking enemy force. When the enemy executed a massive counterattack, Lance Corporal Valentine was painfully wounded. Refusing medical attention he continued to deliver suppressive fire into the oncoming forces. Repeatedly distinguishing himself by his courage and composure under fire, he contributed significantly to the accomplishment of his unit's mission. Lance Corporal Valentine's outstanding professional ability, untiring determination, and steadfast devotion to duty reflect great credit upon himself and were in keeping with the finest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS COMMUNICATION NCO AT FOB SCORPION, KANDAHAR AFGHANISTAN. ON JANUARY 19TH, 2012. AT APPROXIMATELY 1300, A VEHICLE BORN IMPROVISED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE (VBIED) WAS DETONATED, RESULTING IN FIVE DOD CONTRACTORS RECEIVING EXTENSIVE INJURIES. LCPL BROWN, WHO IS NOT A COMMUNICATIONS MARINE, BUT WAS TASKED WITH THE COLLATERAL DUTIES OF THE COMMUNICATIONS NCO, CONDUCTED TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES ON THE RADIO SYSTEM AND WAS ABLE TO ESTABLISH COMMUNICATIONS WITH KAF. LCPL BROWN WAS THEN INSTRUCTED TO CALL IN A 9-LINE MEDEVAC REQUEST FOR THE FIVE URGENT CASUALTIES. DESPITE NEVER HAVING CONDUCTED A MEDEVAC REQUEST, LCPL BROWN WAS ABLE TO WORK THROUGH THE CONFUSION OF THREE OTHER MEDEVAC'S BEING REQUESTED AT THE SAME TIME BY DIFFERENT UNITS. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES HAD PASSED, LCPL BROWN CALLED TO CHECK THE STATUS OF THE MEDEVAC, HE WAS TOLD THAT THE HELICOPTER SHOULD BE ARRIVING IN APPROXIMATELY THREE MINUTES. AFTER THIS TIME HAD PASSED AND THE HELICOPTER HAD NOT ARRIVED, LCPL BROWN CALLED KAF AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD THOUGHT LCPL BROWN'S MEDEVAC WAS PART OF ANOTHER MEDEVAC THAT WAS HAPPENING AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION. AFTER LCPL BROWN RESOLVED THE CONFUSION, HE THEN SUCCESSFULLY REQUESTED A MEDEVAC TO THE CORRECT LOCATION. WHEN THE PILOT WAS CLOSE TO THE LANDING ZONE, HE CONTACTED LCPL BROWN ON THE RADIO, AND LCPL BROWN INFORMED THE PILOT THAT THE LANDING ZONE HAD BEEN SECURED BY THE MARINES AND THEN GUIDED THE HELICOPTER TO THE LANDING ZONE. LEADERSHIP ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HER DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS RIFLEMAN, SIXTH PLATOON, ALPHA COMPANY FROM 26 MARCH 2012 TO 30 MARCH 2012 IN SUPPORT OF MILITARY OPERATIONS URBAN TERRAIN (MOUT). DURING THIS PERIOD, LANCE CORPORAL PORTER-LOTT WAS PART OF THE ASSAULT ELEMENT. DURING AN ATTACK ON AN ENEMY STONGHOLD ON 29 MARCH 2012, LANCE CORPORAL PORTER-LOTT RECEIVED A SEVERE WOUND TO HER LEFT ARM. DESPITE HER INJURY, SHE TOOK CHARGE OF THE ONLY OTHER SURVIVING MARINE IN THE PLATOON AND HELD THEIR POSITION, EFFECTIVELY SUPRESSING THE ENEMY UNTIL THE QUICK REACTION FORCE ARRIVED. BY HER EXCEPTIONAL ABILITY, PERSONAL INITIATIVE AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, LANCE CORPORAL PORTER-LOTT REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.

While serving as a Rifleman, First Platoon Anti-Terrorism Services on April 29, 2019 in support of a raid on Tartova Farm Centerville, Limestone. Despite being wounded in action, Lance Corporal Reid demonstrated unwavering courage and bravery while clearing an objective building with his platoon and Marine Special Operations Team 8221. He relentlessly closed on the enemy inside the objective while under fire, leading the way for the assaulting force and inspiring those around him. The bilateral operation was a success thanks to his contribution and resulted in four enemy killed in action and the recovery of improvised explosive devices components and weapons cache.

While serving as Marine rifleman, 2nd Lieutenant Carroll took it upon himself to coordinate and construct a vital terrain model with key intelligence for a final mission during the week-long MOUT Campaign, that was crucial to the success of the United States' strategic plan. 2nd Lieutenant Carroll displayed a high degree of duty and uncommon valor in the presence of imminent danger while conducting this difficult task. Despite having limited security, fatigue and low ammunition, he continued to push forward. Due to his persistence and devotion to his comrades, he enabled his platoon to effectively clear the UTC Facility of enemy CRF forces, while maintaining the respect and support of the local populace.

On 6 January 2005, in downtown Husaybah, the patrol came under intense enemy fire, causing the lead vehicle to impact a building and become immobilized. Corporal Avila immediately exited his vehicle and began returning fire as fellow Marines attempted to dislodge the vehicle from the wall. After freeing the vehicle and retrograding back to Camp Gannon, the patrol realized one of the vehicles was separated and needed to be recovered. Reentering the kill zone for the second time, the lead vehicle suffered a direct hit from a rocket-propelled grenade, causing the vehicle to erupt into flames. Corporal Avila maneuvered his vehicle to a security position and began to engage the enemy. Realizing that one of his team members was unwittingly staggering into enemy fire, he courageously ran across open terrain under enemy fire with complete disregard for his own safety in order to move his disoriented team member to safety. In addition, on 16 January 2005, while manning an observation post in Karabilah, his team's position was compromised and came under intense enemy fire from a combination of heavy machine guns and small arms. With a large enemy force advancing on their position and again without regard for his personal safety, Corporal Avila called in accurate danger close indirect fire that effectively neutralized the enemy's advance.
