PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HER DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS ALARM CONTROL CENTER SENTRY AND TRAINING PETTY OFFICER, COMPANY A, FIRST PLATOON, MARINE CORPS SECURITY FORCE BATTALION, KINGS BAY, GEORGIA FROM AUGUST 2017 TO SEPTEMBER 2020. STAFF SERGEANT MELINDA ADAMS PERFORMED HER DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. AS ALARM CONTROL CENTER SENTRY AND TRAINING PETTY OFFICER, SHE METICULOUSLY MANAGED THE LIMITED AREA PERIMETER AND STRUCTURE ALARM SYSTEMS WHILE COORDINATING RESPONSES FOR MORE THAN 60 MARINES AND SAILORS IN THEIR DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS. IN ADDITION, SHE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THREE NAVY TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY INSPECTIONS, ONE STRATEGIC ARMS REDUCTION TREATY ON-SITE INSPECTION, AND NUMEROUS DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY MOVEMENTS. MOREOVER, SHE ADMINISTERED NINE JQR-200 TRAINING COURSES FOR ALPHA COMPANY, TOTALING 720 HOURS OF NWS TRAINING CURRICULUM, EQUIPPING AND QUALIFYING 30 SAILORS AS STATIC POST SENTRIES. STAFF SERGEANT ADAMS' EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
