PETTY OFFICER SUPERSTAR'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM AND SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS MAINTENANCE CONTROL CHIEF PETTY OFFICER AT CARRIER AIRBORNE EARLY WARNING SQUADRON ONE TWO ONE FROM JULY 2012 TO AUGUST 2015. DEMONSTRATING EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGERIAL SKILL, CHIEF HARRISON DIRECTED AND PRIORITIZED THE EFFORTS OF 152 MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL IN THE CORRECTION OF MORE THAN 13,400 AIRCRAFT DISCREPANCIES AND THE TIMELY AND FLAWLESS PERFORMANCE OF CRITICAL MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS. THESE SUCCESSES DIRECTLY ENABLED VAW ONE TWO ONE TO ACHIEVE AN IMPRESSIVE 99 PERCENT SORTIE COMPLETION RATE AND EXCEEDED 9000 MISHAP FREE FLIGHT HOURS WHILE ATTACHED TO CVW11 OPERATING IN MULTINATIONAL AND MULTISERVICE EXERCISES, BOTH AT SEA AND IN REMOTE LOCATIONS. BY HIS UNSWERVING DETERMINATION, WISE JUDGMENT AND COMPLETE DEDICATION TO DUTY, CHIEF HARRISON REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS MAINTENANCE PERSON AT HELICOPTER MINE COUNTERMEASURES SQUADRON FOURTEEN (HELMINERON-14) FROM NOVEMBER 2010 TO FEBRUARY 2014. PETTY OFFICER NELSON CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. DURING THIS PERIOD, HE DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP WHILE DIRECTING MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL, ENSURING UNIT SUCCESS IN SIX MULTI NATIONAL OPERATIONS AND THE COMPLETION OF 3,048 MAINTENANCE ACTIONS DURING TWENTY-ONE MONTHS OF SERVICE WHILE DEPLOYED TO THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA. PETTY OFFICER NELSON'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS REPAIR DIVISION MAINTENANCE PERSON, USS ANTIETAM (CG 54) FROM APRIL 2015 TO OCTOBER 2017. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER BUTTRICK CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HER DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. SHE OVERSAW THE MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF DAMAGE CONTROL LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENT VALUED AT MORE THAN 250,000 DOLLARS AND MAINTAINED ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ACCOUNTABILITY WHICH RESULTED IN SATISFACTORILY COMPLETING THE 2016 DAMAGE CONTROL MATERIAL ASSESSMENT TWO DAYS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. IN ADDITION, SHE REPLACED TWO AQUEOUS FILM FORMING FOAM (AFFF) SWIVEL JOINTS, TWO AFFF HOSE REELS, REPLACED SIX 150 POUND CO2 BOTTLES, FOUR HALON BOTTLES, AND TRAINED OVER 300 SAILORS IN BASIC DAMAGE CONTROL. PETTY OFFICER BUTTRICK'S OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HER AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AS LEAD MAINTENANCE PERSON OF EE01 WORKCENTER FOR AMPHIBIOUS CONSTRUCTION BATTALION ONE FROM SEPTEMBER 2017 TO OCTOBER 2019. PETTY OFFICER LES NESSMAN CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE LED 600 PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE EFFORTS ON NINE IMPROVED NAVY LIGHTERAGE SYSTEM (INLS), INCREASING THE PRODUCTIVITY AND MISSION READINESS OF THE COMMAND. ADDITINALLY, HE ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN A VARIETY OF EXERCISES AND OPERATIONS IN THE COMMAND, HELPING ACHIEVE THE COMPLETION OF SEABEE COMBAT WARFARE SPECIALIST (SCWS) AND TRAINED AND CERTIFIED FOUR OTHER SAILORS AS SCWS QUALIFIED. PETTY OFFICER NESSMAN'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE, AND LOYAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS ENGINEERING REPAIR 04 WORK CENTER SUPERVISOR AND MAINTENANCE PERSON ONBOARD USS JAMES E. WILLIAMS FROM JUNE 2012 TO JULY 2016. AS THE SHIP'S LEAD CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, AND RADIOLOGICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, PETTY OFFICER LAWRENCE A. RESENDO EFFICIENTLY COMPLETED THE INSTALLATION OF THE IMPROVED POINT DETECTION SYSTEM LIFECYCLE REPLACEMENT AND WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE EXECUTION OF OVER THREE HUNDRED HOURS OF SYSTEM MAINTENANCE AND TRAINING, EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING SHIPBOARD HAZARD DETECTION AND SURVIVABILITY. PETTY OFFICER RESENDO'S INITIATIVE, PERSEVERANCE, AND TOTAL DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
