PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS A MEMBER OF NUCLEAR EXPEDITIONARY MANNING TEAM ONBOARD USS EMORY S LAND (AS 39) FROM JANUARY TO MAY 2014. AS SAFETY PETTY OFFICER AND ZONE INSPECTION COORDINATOR, PETTY OFFICER POZZI DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL INNOVATION AND MANAGERIAL SKILLS BY CREATING, IMPLEMENTING, AND COORDINATING A VERY EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT DIVISIONAL ZONE INSPECTION PROGRAM. SINCE THE PROGRAM'S INCEPTION, 45 SAFETY, PRESERVATION, AND MATERIAL DEFICIENCIES WERE IDENTIFIED AND CORRECTED, RESULTING IN SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN SAFETY, EQUIPMENT OPERATIONAL READINESS, AND OVERALL MATERIAL CONDITION OF THE NUCLEAR SUPPORT FACILITY (NSF). DISPLAYING EXCEPTIONAL MOTIVATION, VISION, AND DETERMINATION, SHE DEVELOPED THE FIRST EVER "SAFETYATHON" COMPETITION, ESTABLISHING A NEW STANDARD FOR LABORATORY BASED SAFETY STAND-DOWNS. PETTY OFFICER DUKE CREATED AN ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION DECISION MATRIX THAT WAS ADOPTED BY THE NAVY SAFTEY CENTER. IN ADDITION, SHE IMPROVED THE ALSS BRANCH READY-FOR-ISSUE RATE FOR AIR-SAVE VESTS FROM TEN PERCENT TO 100 PERCENT IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS, DIRECTLY FACILITATING GLOBAL DEPLOYMENT. AS A LIAISON OFFICER, SHE HELPED DEVELOP NEW AND MORE EFFICIENT FIFTH FLEET AOR TACTICS AND WAS A KEY FACTOR IN THE SQUADRON'S NINETY-SIX PERCENT MISSION COMPLETION RATE. FINALLY, DURING HER TENURE, PETTY OFFICER KERN FLEW EIGHTY-EIGHT SURVEILLANCE MISSIONS IN SUPPORT OF OIF AND OEF. PETTY OFFICER EHRLICH PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. HE SKILLFULLY TRACKED ALL PROGRAM ELEMENTS, CREATING A BACKLOG OF FIVE YEARS OF DOCUMENTS, FOR 14 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS AND TRAINING FOR 220 PERSONNEL. ADDITIONALLY, AS A FULLY QUALIFIED AIRFRAMES, CORROSION CONTROL TECHNICIAN AND COLLATERAL DUTY INSPECTOR FOR WORK CENTER 120, HE AGGRESSIVELY LED SEVEN ISOCHRONAL INSPECTION TEAMS, RETURNING THE AIRCRAFT TO FULL MISSION CAPABLE STATUS DIRECTLY SUPPORTING OPERATION SHINING MONKEY. HIS ANALYTICAL REVIEW OF THE SAFETY PROGRAMS RESULTED IN AN OVERALL GRADE OF PASS/PASS, WHICH LED TO HIS SELECTION AS VR-55'S JUNIOR SAILOR OF THE YEAR FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2015.
