Lay Leader Evals


As the command lay leader during the 2019 deployment, conducted 20 church services and 100 evening prayers which increased the crew's morale.




As the command catholic lay leader, he performed Catholic Lay led services and conducted evening Prayers for the crew and embarked sixth fleet staff. He was also assistant work center superviser for workcenter CE02.




Provided insights and liaison concerning the morale and well-being of the Crew for the COMDESRON 22 Religious Ministry Team when embarked for underways and deployments, greatly enhancing the success of the Command Religious Program.

As Protestant Layleader, volunteered 420 hours of his personal time as a mentor and role model for Sailors seeking spiritual guidance.

Maintained his good-standing and close affiliation with his supporting church to the benefit of Sailors. He has been a quintessential ambassador for his denomination and a role model for all.

Prepared Bible Study materials for the spiritual enrichment of Sailors using his own time and resources to build a multi-media library for the use of all hands aboard MITSCHER.

Promoted more than 30 fellowship events for Sailors while underway, which required hours of planning and outreach for each event.

Organized and supported more than 147 Religious Worship events, which required rigging and de-rigging of worship implements and advertising events.

Acted as a command advocate for Sailor's free-exercise and expression of faith for all Sailors regardless of background. Supported Islamic, Jewish, Christian and other holidays and observances during underway periods.

Assisted in the organization and execution of Community Service events while at homeport and while on liberty during deployment to the 5th and 6th Fleet AORs.

His personal commitment to the spiritual well-being and morale of Sailors is unsurmountable and proven by his many volunteer hours and greatly contributed to the success of the Ship's Mission.
