Critical Care Nurse Evaluations


PROFESSIONAL PRESENCE. A well-rounded Officer who demonstrated her competence and flexibility while serving in multiple roles. She served as a Critical Care Nurse, Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay (NHGB) and Camp OIC within the Joint Task Force. As Camp OIC, she led a team of two Nurse Corps Officers and 11 enlisted personnel in support of four primary care providers who delivered timely, quality, humane, and ethical healthcare to Law of Armed Conflict detainees.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCE. Supervised three Corpsmen in the administration of over 10,000 medications with 100% accuracy, sustaining the health of the detainee population. Provided 40 hours of training on multiple medical topics to include: how to set up arterial line monitoring, how to use Propaq monitors and the Allaris IV infusion machine, medication reviews, and review of basic Corpsman knowledge.
TEAM PLAYER. Completed 13 face to face cell visits with detainees to assess and address acute medical concerns, freeing medical providers to devote their time to more serious problems. Maintained 100% chart accuracy through thorough chart checks during her shift. Completed over 40 direct observation medication audits with corpsmen to ensure the accuracy of medication passes and to improve Corpsmen's knowledge.
