Cyber Warfare Technician (CWT) Evals

The Cyber Warfare Technician (CWT) rating replaced the Cryptologic Technician Network (CTN) rating in 2023.



***OUTSTANDING SAILOR PUSHING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE***

-ESSENTIAL ANALYST. As LOE Lead, Guided 10 Sailors through 12 tasks and the analysis of 345,000 pieces of traffic, resulting in 26 serialized reports and execution of 65 cyber operations supporting JFHQC-Navy Task Group 1 objectives. As SDNA, ran 260 queries and analyzed 150,000 pieces of traffic resulting in the completion of 4 mission critical tasks. Audited 30 queries resulting in 100% compliance for the division.
-STELLAR LEADER. As TPO, Oversaw 20 Sailors in the completion of 400 hours of Cyber workforce courses resulting in 100% compliance. Conducted 2 DNA boards and trained 5 Sailors through work role and EIWS Qualifications. Resulting in 4 DNA JQR and 2 DNA PQS Qualifications.
-COMMAND ENGAGED. As ACMAA, conducted 6 Barracks inspections maintaining barracks standards for 30 Sailors resulting in 14 outstanding room inspections. As a member of the Command Honor Guard, presented colors at 1 Chief pinning and rendered honors at 1 funeral service.

CWT1 obtained three industry certifications that supported his work role: Cloud+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and OSCP. CWT1 attended over 400 hours of training with his Skillbridge program, AllegiantVets.




Served as an interactive operator during a 14-hour cyber engagement. CWT1 provided a flow of critical operational data to the National Security Agency, U.S Cyber Command, and 503 Combat Mission Team. This data supported critical on-going efforts directed by the President of the United States of America against a Tier-1 adversary. Despite the prolonged nature of the engagement, she continued to man her keyboard to ensure the accurate collection of the required data.




Stepped up as Site Security Representative (SSR) for NR C10F NIOCHI to fill an immediate gap and single handedly maintained and updated an additional 55 clearance statuses. Performed 14 read-ons and requested 39 NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS accounts. Facilitated the completion of 12 polygraphs and submitted 27 VARS access requests resulting in a 51% increase in mission readiness and security and facility access compliance.




During deployments and temporary assignments to a variety of locations at the Command, CWT1 consistently demonstrated exceptional technical acumen and analytical prowess. He spearheaded efforts to analyze over 100TB of network data, conducted incident response missions, analyzed over 123 executables, and played a key role in the recertification of the Cyber Protection Team.




Spent two years doing Cybersecurity for 02CPT. Deployed twice for a total of 180 days working with foreign partners on two named missions.




As TIO-Analyst at NSW MSC, led 13 sailors from three commands supporting 13 high profile operations. He assisted in the development of NSW's premier undersea team and his expertise, drive, and technical acumen led to the exploitation of 1,234 signals of interest, 3,467 tippers, and the creation of 23 objects of interest.
