- Completed the install of the SQQ-89 Suite, to include software installation, SQS-53 testing, and numerous TB-37 MFTA onloads with minimal system degradation. During USS CHOSIN's first INSURV post-SLEP, his leadership and organizational skills were vital in achieving a .90 "Outstanding" in the ASW Warfare Area.
- Through a prolonged and dynamic Basic Phase, LT Nispel was essential in ensuring the ASW Warfare Area remained on-track to certify pior to SWATT. His ability to manage scheduling conflicts, material requirements and maintain CHOSIN's ASW teams proficiency stand as a testament to a core tenant of the Naval Planning Process: "Command by Negation."
- LT Nispel excelled in his position as Assistant Senior Watch Officer. At the most senior Second Tour Division officer onboard, he led the charge to qualify 12 Surface Warfare Officers through CICWO, OOD and Maritime Warfare. Due to his tutelage, First Tour Division Officers from the USS CHOSIN will lead the fleet for years to come.
