Fleet Marine Force Corpsman Evals
1. Responsible for the physical, mental wellbeing, medical readiness and provisions of V1/6 by the prevention and treatment of disease and injury. Assessing patients and managing 1.25 million dollars worth of supplies to which is needed to provide and restock Sailors and Marines in direct support of all companies across V1/6 to include packing, movement and accountability of AMALs while working alongside the assistant logistics officer during numerous operations both before and after the UDP. Assisted both Senior line corpsman and assistant lead chief petty officer in the medical readiness of over 230 Marines and Sailors in H&S Company.
2. Continuously maintained secured equipment during the UDP in order to allow all line company corpsman to stay properly stocked and ready for any and all uncertainties during all three operations over the course of the 6 month deployment. Directly assisted and took charge of V2/8 Pre-LTI worth over 900,000 dollars while simultaneously managing V1/6 post LTI worth over 640,000 dollars prior to leaving Okinawa Japan ensuring no adverse effects to come of either.
3. During Operation Luho assisted the TCCC instructors and Alpha company senior line in training and instructing Tier 3 TCCC to allied forces; keeping the standard of excellence and extending the knowledge in life saving capabilities that directly increases the camaraderie, lethality and performance on the battlefield further increasing V1/6 capabilities and outreach.
4. Simultaneously providing medical coverage and teaching 12 Army 68W in clinical medicine and surgical interventions gaining the trust of the physician assistant with sutures, documentation on DD1380 and SF600, and trauma lanes reinforcing their confidence of battlefield medicine. During a live fire exercise assisted the Battalion Surgeon and a TCCC instructor with a casualty who received a penetrating wound through the calf by the result of a cook off. Ensured the proper documentation and coordinated the evacuation of the patient in accordance with Camp Rodriguez standard operating procedures.
Served as Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, 3D BN, 9th Marines and 2D Marine Regimental Aid Station. His devotion to both mission and Corpsman ethos greatly enhanced the deployability of these two units forward to two combat arenas.
Served as a Fleet Marine Force Corpsman with 1st Bn, 3D Marines. Medically supported over 900 Marines and Sailors through two UDPs (two deployments to Japan and South Korea) and one deployment with MARDET 20.1 to support Operation Pacific Eagle with SOTF 511.2 in the Philippines. Through his initiative and work ethic, maintained exemplary medical readiness for the marines under his supervision at all times. Supported the Battalion through 7 Major training exercises including multinational training exercises with zero major injuries under his supervision.
In preparation for 1st Platoon field exercises, assisted in 3 Limited Technical Inspections (LTI) of $3.9 million in Class VIII supplies. assigned with 15 other sailors that conducted pre-limited technical inspection on 10AMAL blocks to ensure 100% accountability of all stocked items and good operational status of all medical equipment. To ensure a successful post-OP turnover, we assisted in 3 post-limited technical inspections on 10 AMAL blocks composing of 173 cans of medical supplies along with $246,000 worth of equipment totaling $2.2 MIL worth of medical assemblages. Beating Alpha Company's inspection readiness percentage from post-LTI by 10% Resulting in the battalion's highest readiness percentage.
While assigned to the 1st Platoon's shock trauma team as acting Triage Officer, oversaw 8 Corpsmen and 2 AMALS and oversaw triaging of 136 notional patients over a 72-hour period of continuous operations in support of 3 STP Providers, ensuring all patients were meticulously and accurately triaged, resulting in a 96% survival rate of all patients who made it to the Role II. This resulted in the1st Platoon receiving its Role II certification. Assisted in the assessment of 2nd Platoon certification during Large Scale Exercise 2023, culminating in a 72-hour continuous exercise. Evaluated 7 corpsmen in triage operations, identifying 4 inefficiencies and providing solutions that streamlined patient triage and assessment. Assessed 7 Corpsmen conducting 120 patient movements with 0 patient/Provider mishaps.
Volunteered to augment with 2nd Platoon in support of ITX 24.3 on Camp Wilson in 29 Palms, California, supporting V1/2 and V3/4. Acquired and distributed 32 sets of dog tags for personnel prior to departure to ITX. Assigned to the holding ward as part of 2nd Platoon's TO. Assisted the ward in all aspects of patient care and conducted 15 patient assessments in support of 1 Provider, 2 Nurses, and 4 HMs. Conducted 6 turnovers with ERC personnel with 0 mishaps. Participated in 3 operations and led 4 tent teams in the proper and efficient set-up of multiple 305 tents. As part of the walking blood bank, assisted the lab with blood draws in 2 separate activations of the walking blood bank. Assisted with acquiring 2 rectal temperatures of 2 real-life heat casualties while on 29 Palms.
SUPPORTED ALPHA CO. AND H&S CO. AND 3D MEDICAL BATTALION, OKINAWA, JAPAN. A KEY PLAYER IN TWO ALPHA COMPANY FIELD EXERCISES. HIS EFFORTS LEAD TO THE COMPLETION OF 98 MISSION ESSENTIAL TASKS, INCREASING COMPANY COMBAT READINESS BY 65%. WHILE TAD TO CLR-35, HE DEPLOYED THREE TIMES AS THE LONE CORPSMAN WITH ZERO MISHAPS, LEAD RMAT IN FIVE COMMANDING GENERAL READINESS INSPECTIONS, ALL RESULTING IN "MISSION CAPABLE" RATINGS.
Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, 1st Marine Logistics Group. HM3 showed exemplary dedication by attending over three-dozen pre-deployment trainings and one deployment to WESTPAC 16-2 for a combined time of 21 months. When HM3 wasn't doing work-ups, he provided expeditionary medical service to over 3,900 marines, administering 500 physicals, 400 immunizations, 2,500 medical appointments and verifying 2,800 medical records. HM3 also achieved the personal qualification standard of Enlisted Fleet Marine Force and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. In FY16, HM3 was awarded a certcom for his actions during 1st Marine Logistics Group Commanding General's inspection. HM3 served on the 1st Marine Logistics Group Color Guard, performing 10 ceremonies. While serving at 7th Engineer Support Battalion, HM3 created eight go-by examinations to streamline and standardize health care for Marines and Sailors of 7th Engineer Support Battalion.
