As a stand-in Lab Tech, HM3 Devera performed over 100 diagnostic tests, including hematology panels, urinalysis, rapid tests, and blood typing, contributing to the early detection and treatment of numerous conditions among the crew. She ensured 100% compliance with laboratory standards by meticulously conducting equipment quality control, performing routine maintenance, and calibrating critical analyzers such as the i-STAT, glucometer, and centrifuge. As WCS of Pentagon and Apheresis satellite Blood Donor Center and qualified in-house member, supervised 16 personnel in the collection and processing of 4K units of blood products worth $1.2M in direct support of WRNMMC, Ft. Belvoir, Andrews AFB, and deployed medical treatment facilities across the globe. Her efforts resulted in licensure maintenance in the 2019 College of American Pathologists inspection.
-DILIGENT MANAGER. As facility PO oversaw the functionality of three facilities accounting for more than 50 spaces ensuring the highest operational readiness and habitability which led to uninterrupted daily operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

These include the processing and shipping of 4K units of blood components valued at an excess of $1.2M. Her efforts ensured 100% support of CONUS and OCONUS missions as well as deployed medical treatment facilities while complying with standards of the ASBP, CAP, and FDA.
-MENTORSHIP. Trained two sailors in all facets of blood component processing and shipment competencies contributing to a 25% increase in qualified personnel. Also, implemented training for quad zero hospital corpsman in the deglycerolizatoin of frozen RBCs resulting in a 75% increase of capable personnel. Conducted in-service training for 18 Army MLT and SBB students which resulted in 100% graduation.
-EXPERT MANAGER. As command ACFL contributed to ##% disenrollment of sailors from FEP. As MWR President established committee bylaws improving committee structure. Medical Laboratory Technician. Provides Force Health Protection support services in the prevention, surveillance and screening of infectious diseases for military service members stationed within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Theater. Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of sensitive diagnostic laboratory equipment and reagents valued at over 925k to ensure 100% laboratory capability and operation.
As Lab ALPO, HM3 single-handedly administered vaccines monthly and drew blood for HIV testing which increased meadical readiness.

-EXPERT FACILITATOR/TRAINER. Trained 25 staff on the specimen processing PQS and qualified 54 HMs in HMSB, increased level of knowledge and proficiency. Educated 500 staff members on L31A NEC during career fair.
-MISSION IMPACT. Cross trained in several areas of the department, and allowed for flexibility in schedule during decrease manpower. Key player in the preparation of 3k vital COVID-19 viral test media, efforts tripled testing capabilities for patients. Four Disciplines of Execution (4DX) member, improved department's IMR and PHA from 70% to 90%.

LAB KING: Ensured best laboratory practices by inventorying all laboratory supplies monthly; inventorys chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, phlebotomy, serology, and molecular diagnostics supplies. Supported CAP accreditation by participating in inspection. As a secondary chemistry technician, assisted in the validation of the acceptable measurable range by performing the CAP linearity survey. Reviewed the monthly Levy-Jennings charts to ensure quality control procedures are acceptable.
MOTIVATED TRAINER: Assigns individuals initial and quarterly PQS and ensures all laboratory training is up to date. Monitors ESAMS, Relias, and command trainings and ensures completion in a timely manner. As Muster PO, tracked the accountability of 36 sailors across the DCSS department and submitted daily reports.
COMMUNITY FOCUSED: Elected as CSADD treasurer and secretary by peers. Oversees all funding and fundraisers performed by the committee, and serves as Secretary during meetings. Volunteered 3 hours to the Boys and Girls Club of SECT helping children exercise during quarantine. Created two shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child event for third world countries.
