Navy Letter of Recommendation
Commander's Endorsement for Any Position
During my time as her Commanding Officer aboard USS Oscar Austin (DDG-79), I witnessed her exceptional growth, leadership, and dedication to mission accomplishment. She is one of the most driven and capable Sailors I have had the opportunity to lead. I first recognized Petty Officer Molina's potential early in her career when she was an E-3 with only five months onboard. She quickly set herself apart by earning a Flag Letter of Commendation. Her momentum continued as she earned her Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist qualification as an E-3, demonstrating discipline and commitment to professional development. As a Third Class Petty Officer, she played a key role during the Engineering Light-Off Assessment as both an Engineering Auxiliary Maintenance Person and an Engineering Watchstander, contributing to an 85% score, one of the highest achieved onboard in the past five years. She consistently performed with confidence, attention to detail, and composure under pressure.
Petty Officer Molina's leadership is what truly distinguishes her. As a Third Class, she was entrusted to serve as a Work Center Supervisor, leading Sailors senior to her in rank. She rose to the challenge, leading from the front and holding her team to high standards while maintaining their respect and trust. Her ability to balance accountability with genuine care for her Sailors reflects strong leadership and maturity. As a Second Class Petty Officer, she continued to excel, earning her second Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for superior performance and leadership from June 2019 to August 2023. She became a dependable leader within the command! Someone I could trust to execute the mission and develop those around her.
