Leading Petty Officer in barracks USS DECATUR building 839 and acting LCPO of USS NEW JERSEY building 838 at Training Support Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. DC1 led 21 staff members in the training of 11,719 of the Navy's new accession sailors, preparing them for the fleet. His leadership resulted in 17 Student of the Month awards, 5 Ship of the Month awards, 1 Ship of the Quarter, and 3 NMTI qualifications. As realtalk mentorship coordinator, he brought 58 staff members from across 8 commands together with 1500 apprentice-level sailors to deliver fleet ready sailors to the ships.




As "HOT RUNNER", Instructor, ARB Coordinator, Mentorship Coordinator, and Best of the Best Coordinator, OSQM "A" School (CSCSU Great Lakes) From Feburary 2010 to Feburary 2013. He innovatively taught eight classes for a total of 176 students while maintaing an impressive overall GPA of 90%. Overall responsible for ensuring the success of struggling students by preparing and processing 62 Academic Review Board packages resulting in zero attrittions.




While performing as the Command Safety Petty Officer, he oversaw the safe launch and recovery of over 500 sorties encompassing 785 mishap and accident-free flight hours and over 10,000 maintenance man-hours. Hand selected as Assistant Command Mentorship Coordinator, he managed a program that included 148 protégés and 53 mentors.




As Watch Commander, supervised and trained 38 personnel providing AT/FP during two deployments to the FIFTH and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibility in support of Operation New Dawn, Enduring Freedom and anti-piracy operations. Handled and helped oversee 15 suspected pirates detained and housed onboard. Rehabilitated and instilled good order and discipline for 12 prisoners during seven bread and water confinements. Ensured personal and professional goals were obtained by pairing 16 junior sailors with senior mentors as the department mentorship coordinator.




HM1 managed, trained and developed the careers of 18 Junior Enlisted members. As Unit career Counselor, he conducted 15 Career Development Boards, completed 13 performance evaluations and 9 midterm counselings. During Annual Training, HM1 was responsible for leading the Material Management Department's transition team during a manpower shortfall. His team accounted for the loss of 1,267 pieces of medical equipment worth $9.2M, relocating over 430 line items totaling $350K and accounted for over 4,100 pieces of medical equipment worth $37M during a wall-to-wall inventory. As the mentorship coordinator, he maintained the relationships of 85 Sailors from 2 Reserve units and the Full Time Support staff as well as implementing the first mentorship assessment.




As Divisional Leading Petty Officer at Naval Ocean Processing Facility, Dam Neck, Virginia, STG1 expertly led his 23 personnel multi-national watch team in the detection, classification, tracking and reporting of 300 high-interest contacts, providing more than 1500 hours of critical intelligence data to three theater anti-submarine warfare commanders. Demonstrating exceptional tactical acumen, he significantly contributed to a highly successful 2012 Commander, Submarine Force Pacific Fleet tactical readiness evaluation. As Command Mentorship Coordinator, he provided in-depth training for 200 personnel that was vital to the program's success.




YN1 was instrumental in creating and managing a travel budget of $315k, ensuring critical schools and NEC's were maintained, allowing USS CHIEF (MCM 14) to remain mission ready. As command mentorship coordinator, he launched a program which benefited 78 sailors, resulted in 95% retention, and increased command advancement rate by 25% over last year. Hand selected as command urinalysis coordinator, he ran 98 random tests and collected 384 samples, serving as a deterrent for illegal drug use onboard.




HM1 supervised six technicians and five reservists during 2,582 patient encounters. She spearheaded the clinic's inaugural water front inititive, providing deckplate mental health services to 800 crew members across eight commands, increasing access to care and reducing appointment wait time by two weeks. As the command Mentorship Coordinator, she revised and reorganized the program by creating mentorship contracts for 150 sailors and ensuring 100% contact with every sailor upon check-in, increasing program enrollment by 30% in six months. Appointed as the command Enlisted Advancement Coordinator, HM1 orchestrated a 30-day advancemnt course, providing 20 hours of didactic and hands-on training, increasing the Command's advancement rate from zero to 8.6%.




IT1 led 54 sailors through 126 cyber warfare and CCORI events, certified 39 platforms, identified over 11k network vulnerabilities, optimizing fleet cyber readiness throughout 3rd, 5th, and 7th fleet AORs. She managed a 78k budget, increasing 1010 and 1030 missions by 40%. As command mentorship coordinator, her intrusive leadership and approach to professional developemnt resulted in 10 advancements, 5 USMAP trade completions, 162 college semester hours, 24 IW qualifications and 1 MOVSM. A key player in the standup of NAVNETWARCOM Navy Blue Team (NBT) Det San Diego, she managed the transition of 18 critical command programs and NBT operational procedures.
