Nurse Manager & Senior Nurse Evaluations


As the Medical Home Port Blue Team Floor Supervisor, she directly supervised two licensed practical nurses, three registered nurses, and five providers in the delivery of patient care to 1,710 Department of Defense employees and their family members. As an advocate for Navy Medical care, she volunteered to take Command photos and write seven articles that were published in 20 different media outlets. She is a motivated Nurse Manager whose choice to terminate shore duty early proves that she is ready and willing to take on any challenge the Navy has to offer.




As the Senior Nurse Executive (SNE) and Program Lead for operational Medicine for Navy Reserve Navy Medicine Education and Training Command (NR NMETC). Her specific accomplishments include:

Outstanding program manager. Maintained CCQAS files for 287 nurses with precision, resulting in 100% accuracy.

Facilitiated Bystander Intervention classes for 112 sailors.

Supported and helped sexual assault victims as a victim advocate.




VITAL MEDICAL RESOURCE. As STP Senior Nurse for Native Fury, oversaw training, clinical skills and more than 100 urgent patient encounters during the course of the exercise. On deployment with CLB 11, implemented a robust pre-deployment training schedule for a team of 23 to increase readiness and capability in support of the WESTPAC 19 MEU. She also oversaw the Health Services Support Team, maintaining 100% medical readiness within 3rd, 5th and 7th fleets. Developed a clinical practice guideline resource utilizing current Joint Trauma System Clinical Practice Guidelines in Advanced Trauma Life Support.




Dedicated to mission success, her performance improvement initiatives helped to raise Oceana Clinic's HEDIS benchmark by five points while she was acting Senior Medical Officer. During a time of provider shortage, she did not hesitate to assume the responsibilities as the Senior Medical Officer for the Oceana Triad and oversaw the credentialing and training of over thirty providers. During this time she recruited and organized Reservist and Intern General Medical Officers to help fill provider gaps and improve access to care.

In addition to her primary duties, she delivered excellent care for the NMCP labor deck and nursery. This saved critical staff time and freed specialists to focus on more complex cases.

While serving on the Medication Reconciliation Committee, she helped to develop and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of medication used throughout the command.

While serving on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, she helped to ensure safe and resourceful use of over one hundred million dollars in medications dispensed annually.

Served as the BUMED Sexual Assault Forensics Exam (SAFE) Coordinator for the Oceana Triad.

Committed to academia and teaching, she organized annual corpsman skill set trainings which improved the skill set of over one hundred corpsmen in the Oceana Triad. In addition, she published an article in a peer reviewed, evidence based journal, demonstrating the Navy's commitment to excellence.
