Nurse Practitioner Evaluations


COMPETENT OVERSIGHT. Her diligent efforts ensured the standardization of care and staff training in the areas of asthma education, pediatric immunizations and newborn screening, to include oversight of the updates to the continuity books, directly contributing to the clinic ranking #1 out of 12 facilities and #2 of 76 in the Navy in the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) metrics pediatric immunizations.

HEALTHCARE STEWARD. Provided extensive age-specific nutritional plans to 19% of the population to reduce the obesity epidemic, saving the Navy more than $75K in specialized care. She standardized the tracking of newborn screening results and surveillance of immunization compliance for empanelment making the clinic #2 in the Navy three years in a row.




CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT. As one of the clinic's OICs, she enhanced the clinic's sore throat protocol, provider templates, and support staff training in screening procedures, increasing access to care by at least 10%. Her efforts in standardization of care and staff training led to the creation of the immunization and newborn screening program continuity books and electronic asthma plan, making the clinic number one in childhood immunizations in the Navy for asthma care.
MEDICAL INNOVATOR. Her innovative efforts facilitated the creation of several AHLTA templates, electronic questionnaires, patient education sites, on-call AHLTA availability to be available to the clinics, further enhancing documentation. Loyalty to the 13,000 empaneled military in the clinic was demonstrated by the many off-duty hours she spent enhancing nutritional services in the clinic through her enhanced knowledge in nutrition and lactation teaching.
