Fire Control Technician FT/SS

Seaman ______ is a highly motivated and invaluable member of Fire Control Division and a vital asset to Team JACKSON.
AGGRESSIVE WATCHSTANDER. His knowledge of submerged contact management and watch team back-up ensured the safe and effective transit of the Strait of Juan de Fuca; a submerged transit in vicinity of heavy merchant shipping and a challenging shallow water environment.
EXCEPTIONAL FIRE CONTROLMAN. His qualification as Assistant FTOW contributed to the flexibility of the at-sea watchbill, contributing to the successful completion of a Tactical Readiness Evaluation.
OUTSTANDING WORK ETHIC. With his dutiful resourcefulness and a "Can-Do" attitude, he completed all tasks with little to no oversight. Seaman _______ has the potential to become an outstanding leader. He continues to actively pursue his qualifications and gain valuable experience in Fire Control Division. He has my strongest recommendation for advancement to the next paygrade.

METICULOUS TECHNICIAN. Performed more than 100 hours of troubleshooting and repair of critical Defensive Weapon System components, including the Defensive Weapons Launch Console and Torpedo Tube 3, ensuring the highest state of readiness of weapon system equipment for Patrol 96. Completed more than 200 hours of preventative maintenance with no discrepancies, ensuring OWNSHIP'S longevity.

EFFECTIVE SUPERVISOR. Served as Senior Chief during an arduous dry-docking period. His deck division was responsible for over 1,000 hours of maintenance and preservation of five main ballast tanks and free flood areas.
INVALUABLE FORESIGHT. His team completed all maintenance early allowing the ship to un-dock early. As Fire Control Division Leading Chief, his experience and training in system employment and operations resulted in an above average in Fire Control operations during the recent tactical readiness evaluation.

As a member of Code 305, he successfully opened and supervised the opening of over 3000 WAFs (Work Authorization Forms) and over 500 CWPs (Controlled Work Packages) with zero discrepencies for all tended units at Kings Bay Subbase. He ensured all tended units met or exceeded critical mission sustainability. He quickly learned how to adequately coordinate and perform Tagouts allowing 53 Trident Refit Facility shops to safely perform the work required for all tended units.
